The spare RV situation teeters on becoming a fiasco. Taken at face value, we're just waiting for WA DOL to get their shit together. The guy selling the RV says they have it, they just haven't processed it yet.

I hate Government beauracracy. The title should arrive anytime between now and Mid-October(WTF?!) It's been 4 weeks already. Not a huge hurry, we have to get a paycheck or two so we can get materials to fix this one before we NEED it, but I'd rather not be working on this thing in the winter, especially as the coming months are usually pretty busy(like the last three haven't been, Sheesh!).

It's a nice beastie, an '81 Lindy with a dodge chassis, 21', same as ours, great "hang out" area. Two swivel chairs plus the dining area, AND the front two seats rotate as well. New generator, though we'd never used the one that came with this one, so I don't know that we'll use it, aluminum siding, everything seems solid, and it might even get better gas mileage than this one, though not by much. The only permanent bed is over the cab, though and there's less storage space than this one has, so when it comes time to cull things, we've gotta get REALLY serious. Closed bathroom(yay!), full kitchen, 56K miles, and in great shape for its age. I think we may be reluctant to sell it when the time comes.

Mike was on the phone to his Mum and I suggested they come out and visit, we could go RVing together, Mike & I would each drive one and the four of us could go wherever we wanted. Marion lit up when she heard that. It'd be like a guest house! and WAY better than having four adults, especially relatives, in one 21' beastie, woof.

As far as the guy who's selling it: Father of a friend, and he seems like a really good person, though reluctant to sell it, it seems. I'm thinking someone could easily approach him and give him more money for the thing that we wouldn't be able to match, worst case, or they could keep it for themselves, I'm kinda baffled why they're not. I'm confident we'd get our deposit back, though. Fun older couple.

Anyway, I'll give it two weeks, after that I'll see if we can just declare it sold on the DOL website or something.

In other news, wrapping up one client and halfway done on another, I thought there were a few in the pipe, but they've been strangely silent.

Goats are growing, they're just over knee-high now, probably 40lbs a piece. Less likely to stay close by when we're near the house, but once we get out of sight, they still come running.

I picked my first tomato! It's about the size of a golf ball and heart-shaped -well, more like the organ than the symbol. That one is weeks ahead of the rest, the rest are still green.

Tax stuff is going to be sorted out. Despite it likely leaving us on a pretty tight budget, I feel a lot better about it than I did a week ago.

Might see Mom on Friday.

Wee, life COULD be more exciting. I'm woking on doing away with the petty stress for starters. Lock & load.

Okay... my question is then, why buy the newer and by the sounds of it, better beastie, just to spend more money on the old one? Why not just change homes? Get rid of the old one. What is tying you down to the old one? Hummmm?

Anyway... if you n Bev n Charlie aren't busy this weekend, I'm thinkin about coming out n campin in the yard. Let me know whatcha got going on.

Mom may be coming over on Friday but otherwise I have no plans and you are more than welcome!

Kay, I'm thinking on Sat or Sunday... since Monday is a holiday.

And you know, it's been more than a week since Nemo has seen you both and she's asking about you. =P

We know what WORKS on the current one! New engine, new heater, fridge, most of the expensive stuff has been repaired, and the one we're in now is newer, anyway. The sleeping arrangements on the newer one aren't as good (the only big bed is up top).

(Mike loves this thing like a mother)

Even if we did change it, the old one would have to be written off as scrap because of the walls which would be a shame with all the good stuff we know isn't going to go wrong. Once the walls are done then it's solid enough to do the stuff I really want to do with it. 250 Ah batteries, solar panels, directional WiFi etc.
